I would leave my opinion on some recurring themes.
Travelcard or Oyster Cards: the issue is well-known aduna in the forum, but continues to speak. I used Oyster and went charging as needed. The issue is that I was in London first 3 days and then 3 days more. So I was not a weekly Travelcard (must be consecutive days). Had daily Travelcards purchased, aduna I would have gone quite more expensive. In total he loaded 35 pounds and I used them all, including the return trip to Heathrow. And I used 6 days.
2 x 1 Travelcard: You have to go see the deals out there when you go. To us the only thing that really aduna interested us was the Tower. At that time there were 2 x 1 Abbey and London Eye, which was itself later. So I did not care much for the Travelcard. And I used the 2 x 1 with a ticket to Gattwick Southern, and really looked at me.
Hotel: really worth paying aduna attention to the issue. Each one is individual and what is good for me, may not be for another. So you have to choose considering the location, cleanliness, Wifi, breakfast. Do not choose the paunch. We will not pay attention aduna to access, for example, and gave us quite work out the issue with the netbook for a walk is complicated and there are few places WIfi free * FREE (Starbucks one). International make you get password and is a nuisance.
Another tip, which is repeated but worth it to use the buses. It is much more pleasant to travel outside tucked underground. It is not so difficult to use. Wherever you are you look at the bus stops and there are posters with the routes of the buses that stop there. Sometimes you got to look at 2 or 3 stops to locate the you need but at most you'll have to walk 1 or 2 blocks. In the subway walking sometimes you get equal or below.
Council for Argentinos: as you know there are some problems for foreign currency and is best handled with cards. Averiguen before leaving if your cards have chips. That will provide much everything. They will be able to withdraw money from ATMs, use the cards at retailers and shopping in general. We accept aduna the card almost everywhere by paltry amounts (a few pounds).
As for London, I can say that it is an exciting city, but large. You have to take it easy and go according to what one day without going crazy. Otherwise it can be stressful. Cross the street only can be tricky. There are many cars and wrong that you look to see if a car is coming, and pedestrians will look to you. So the cars coming from the other side, ha ha ... you end up nodding in all directions at all corners.
For me it is unmissable Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park Parks both as St James and Green Park. Went in Autumn colors aduna and we were dreamed. I went to the Ferris Wheel. Walking down Piccadilly, Soho, Trafalgar especially the nochecita. And the bank of the Thames. Harrods aduna struck us despite not being fanatics shopping.
Beware maps. There are some who only show main streets and you can
