A collaborative effort, SASO Girls is the result of months of planning, but its launch could not be

SASO, the Southlake based mother and son philanthropic organization, recently launched an affiliated organization with a singular vision: providing philanthropic opportunities to the mothers and daughters of our community. SASO Girls will be a nonprofit dedicated fox tail to providing service and personal growth opportunities for young women of high school age.
A collaborative effort, SASO Girls is the result of months of planning, but its launch could not be more timely given increased public awareness of the significant pressures faced by teenaged girls in modern society.
At fox tail this vital stage in girls lives, SASO Girls hopes to strengthen the dialogue between mothers and daughters while providing positive role models, positive messages, and powerful environments in which girls can thrive. Through their active commitment to membership, the girls will learn to be of service to those in need, of the responsibility that service requires and, about the power of individual action.
SASO Girls inaugural commitments for 2013 are varied, and have already included the Special Olympics of Texas (Greater Fort Worth Area) Bowling Competition 2013 and the Kids Matter Around the Block Shop Day sponsored by Kohl s Department Store in Southlake. They are also looking forward to the the Children s Hunger Fund 2013 Dallas Toy Wrap on Saturday, November 23rd; and the Special Olympics of Texas (Greater Fort Worth Area) Volleyball Competition and Athlete Christmas Party on December 7th. The first personal growth event will be self- defense classes for both mothers and daughters, generously sponsored by Southlake fox tail Taekwondo & Karate for Kids .
SASO Girls will be guided by its Board of Directors, and advised by local businesswoman, philanthropist, and SASO Co-Founder, Laura Hill. The organization, already over seventy members strong, will focus on two primary goals: first, to increase its philanthropic partnerships to promote a broad spectrum of service opportunities; and second, to ensure that young women become aware of the new opportunity fox tail they have to find themselves in the service fox tail of others.
